Volunteer Opportunities

It is a good idea for students to seek out and particpate in volunteer/community service experiences throughout high school.  Volunteering offers students valuable insight and perspective as well as enriches their resume.  Students interested in National Honor Society also must earn documented service hours to be considered for NHS induction beginning sophomore year.  Anytime students volunteer, it is important to keep record of the number of hours and have the volunteer leader/coordinator sign off these hours.  Keep these documents in a folder or binder.  Here is a listing of ideas to get started.  Students are welcome to see their counselor for additional information or assistance in this process.
